Itinerary
Day 1
Lake Nakuru | Nairobi
Day 1 Pick up from city hotel and depart from Nairobi for a journey South West of Nairobi. We make a brief stop at view point, a strategically raised point that provides you an opportunity to get a birds eye view of the Great Rift Valley which is in its own rights a wonder of the world. You then proceed on driving past L. Naivasha, and L. Elementaita into Nakuru. L. Nakuru is the most conspicuous landmark as you approach this fast growing town. You arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Nakuru in time for lunch. That evening you leave the hotel and proceed for an evening game drive till dusk. It is in Lake Nakuru National Park more than any other Park in Kenya that you are likely to sight the leopard. Further it is a rhino’s sanctuary and therefore its not surprising to find rhinos lazing under a tree on a hot sunny afternoon. But even more exciting for bid lovers it is home to the famous picture of millions of flamingoes swathed together at the shores of the lake. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or a similar standard hotel.

Tacked at the northern extension of the great Serengeti grassland, this reserve is host to the annual migration comprising of over a million wildebeest -the most awesome wildlife spectacle on planet earth. During this spectacle millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti (Tanzania) into the Mara (Kenya) in search of water and pasture. Hot in pursuit and as would be expected are the predators of the savannah- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The main drama takes part at the banks of river Mara as the animals cross the river Mara. You have an optional visit to the Masai village at an extra cost of USD 20 per person.
