Day 1
Mikumi | Nyerere (Selous)
Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Mikumi NP Today we will pick you up from the hotel in Dar es Salaam at 06:30 am for the journey to Mikumi National Park. While on the way you will enjoy the beautiful view of the Uluguru Mountains located in the south weast of Morogoro town where you will stop for breakfast. Arrive Mikumi in the late morning hours and proceed with the game drive till evening. Mikumi National Park is shares its ecosystem with the Selous game reserve which allows a large number of mammals to migrate in from the Selous. While on game drive you are guarantee to see a vast number of animals include elephants, hippos, elands, lions, wildebeest, zebras and many others. In the evening after a long day game drive we will drive to the lodge located inside the park for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Mikumi
Day 2: Mikumi - Udzungwa NP After early breakfast you will leave the lodge for the sunrise game drive in the park until 9:00 am when you will depart to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Upon your arrival at Udzungwa you will meet the park rangers who will accompany you on the hiking tour. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is well known for its excellent hiking, trekking, mountain climbing, and forest walks. The most popular hiking tour is up to the Sanje waterfalls, looking for monkeys, swimming in plunge pools, and enjoying the spectacular view while enjoying a picnic lunch. After your hiking tour you will descend the mountains and join your driver to start your journey back to Mikumi for dinner and your overnight stay at Camp Bastian.
Day 3
Mikumi
Day 3: Mikumi Nationa Park - Dar es salaam After breakfast you will check out and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. The journey back will include an exciting game drive to give you another chance to see any of the wildlife you might have missed on the first day. You will arrive back in Dar es Salaam before dark where you will be dropped off at the airport or back at the hotel. This is where your safari will end.
