DAY 2 : From Your Camp In The Lake Manyara National Park And Embark On A Full Day Safari In The Park + Maasai Experience And Finally Back To Arusha/Moshi. Meals : Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Lake Manyara National Park is possible for a full, short day or an over-night safari or wildlife holiday. Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania located 125 Kilometers (78 miles) West of Arusha town, which is a half-hour flight or a 2 – 2.5 hours’ drive. Nearby there is an agricultural and fresh produce market town of Mto Wa Mbu, which is situated next to the entrance of the Lake Manyara National Park. The town is a souvenir hunters paradise, harboring thousands souvenir salesmen ready to pounce at your slightest invitation. On this day, you can also expect to learn about the Maasai religious beliefs, culture and lifestyle. This trip also offers the opportunity to buy Maasai crafts direct from the tribe. The Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s densely populated African elephants herds, Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake.   DEPARTURE DATES The departure dates for all our safaris and tours, packages are totally flexible according to your own personal needs.
