Nairobi National Park is one of the parks near a capital city, only 10 minutes drive, with a size of 117km2. Established in 1946. Despite it’s close proximity to the city and relative small size, Nairobi National Park boasts a large and varied wildlife population. Migrating herbivores gather in the park during the dry season, and it is one of Kenya's most successful Black Rhinoceros sanctuaries. For bird lovers there are more than 500 bird species recorded.
