Arusha

Day 2: Arusha / Masai village: 3 hrs drive After breakfast  drive to Masai village with parked lunch, set up the camp as you arrive then watch and learn the Maasai culture and life style such as slaughtering goat and barbecuing its meat, making fire locally, milking cows, trapping fresh blood from cow’s vein, woman building the houses, dancing, singing etc. dinner and over night at Maasai village camping (adventure camping) no lodges nearby! The masai visits at Lobosoit need at least one night stay…..take 3 hrs driving from Arusha town. The Masai at this area still keeping their original life and Culture; by visiting you learn and watch their culture and life style such as; imitation of slaughtering goat-barbecuing and portioning the goat meat, trapping the fresh blood from cow’s vein and drinking it fresh, making fire locally, women building houses & milking cows, entering in the house and learn how women builds those houses, women cleaning the calabash with special wood stick, singing and dancing etc. We recommends to spend a night camping (adventure camping) at the Masai Boma (compound) as no hotels/lodges nearby, even if you are doing the lodge safari no problem as one night will be camping then the rest stays in the lodges.

Tarangire

Day 4: Tarangire full day Spend the morning viewing games and exploring the park, hot lunch at the lodge, another tour in the afternoon return before dusk for dinner and over night at Tarangire safari lodge or similar.

Masai Mara | Ruaha | Serengeti

Day 6: Lake Eyasi / Serengeti: 5 hrs drive Get up 5 am for cup of tea or coffee then drive to Hadzabe (bushmen) home, arrive then watch & learn their culture & life style also join them dancing, Optional go on hunting with them (Hadzabe is a tribe depend on hunting and forest products, do not cultivate or build houses stays under the big trees and the bushes), later drive back to the lodge for late breakfast, depart for Serengeti with packed lunch via Ngorongoro, game en-route arrive before dusk for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp or similar. Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s oldest and second largest park (after Ruaha park) covering 14,763 sq km and is adjoining with Ngorongoro area to the south and with the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya to the north. This is the park at the height of the migration when columns of wildebeest up to twenty-five miles long instinctually follow fresh grasses through gorges, woodlands, and crocodile-infested rivers…. The wildebeest population is about 1.5 million and several other hoofed species including zebras and Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, buffalo, giraffe, warthog also the cats. During wildebeest mating season, males circle their harems, battling junior males that threaten their dominance. This annual ritual results in an average of 8,000 births a day during calving season. The best time to view the great migration is from December through August. The Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area also this area offers the big number of birds life.

Serengeti

Day 9: Serengeti / Ngorongoro: 3 hrs drive Early morning tour before breakfast looking for predators hunting, return for late breakfast then drive to Ngorongoro, Optional Olduvai Gorge visit at an extra cost, arrive late afternoon for dinner and over night at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or similar. Olduvai Gorge is on the Ngorongoro low lands along the Serengeti road. The museum at the Olduvai provides an excellent photographic history of research carried out in the gorge with a summary of the main archaeological findings. The importance of the area relates as much to its location as the way the strata of ash and other deposits have been layered then conveniently exposed during the formation of the gorge itself. Louis Leakey was the first of the Leakey family to visit the area in the early 1920s. His trip was funded by the British Museum in which his role was that of a research assistant. Subsequently his family has become associated with pre-historical archaeological research throughout East Africa. Outstanding discoveries include that of the famous footprints of a family of hominids dating back 3.5 million years by Mary Leakey.

Arusha | Lake Manyara | Serengeti

Day 11: Karatu / Lake Manyara / Arusha: 3 hrs drive After breakfast drive Lake Manyara for half day tour after lunch drive to Arusha, met for safari de-briefing then drop off in town for your own arrangements. Airport transfer and accommodation in Arusha can be arranged at an extra cost. The park located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara Park offers varied ecosystems and breathtaking views. This is the forest park and famous with tree-climbing lions, they make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacia trees their home during the rainy season to avoid wet, and are well-known but rather rare feature of the northern park, in addition to the lions the  park provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania ‘s birdlife including shore birds, hippos and elephants also is the home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world, a fact that makes for interesting game viewing of large families of the primates…..
