Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi

Leaving Nairobi in the early morning, we make a scenic drive to the west with a stop at the view point and later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Baringo in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird- watching center of Kenya.

Day 2

Lake Nakuru

Early in the morning we head south via Lake Bogoria which is a shallow soda lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizeable number of flamingoes and other species of birds. The highlight, however, is the boiling hot springs and geysers which also contribute to the beauty of the lake. After lunch, we proceed to Lake Nakuru in the south - another shallow soda lake which has been described as "an ornithologist's paradise and one of the world's most magnificent sights".

Day 3

Lake Nakuru | Masai Mara

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest's migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at the Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see.

Day 4

Masai Mara

Enjoy an early breakfast and depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Enjoy afternoon game viewing drive in this vast and expansive reserve teeming with game. Be on the look-out for the famous big five; the most sought after in the early 20th century, when Kenya was a hunters' paradise.

Day 5

Masai Mara

Today after breakfast we drive to Lake Naivasha region to arrive in time for lunch. This lake was a popular stop for British flying boats of the 1930s and former home to Joy Adamson, author of ‚Born Free‛. Its rich heritage and idyllic scenery make it the perfect place to relax.

Day 6

Amboseli

After an early sumptuous breakfast depart to Amboseli National Park, which provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Arrive at your preferred choice of accommodation for check in and some delicious lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in search of the 'big five' among other animals. Her breath-taking scenery - one of the best places for a photogenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro; weather permitting is next to none.

Day 7

Amboseli

Full day spent in Amboseli National Park. Starting with an early morning game drive, return for breakfast in the hotel, thereafter the rest of the morning is at leisure. Enjoy lunch and some leisure time, before, later in the afternoon heading out for yet another game viewing drive on this majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and hosts of plains' game.

Day 8

Amboseli

An early morning game drive is followed by breakfast at you lodge. After breakfast check-out and bid goodbye to your lodge manager for hosting; not empty handed though. With us are photographs - a capture of the special moments we have had on this tour to immortalize the experience. Drive to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch at the carnivore restaurant. After lunch you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International airport in time for you onward international flight.
