Day 1: Arrival in Durban, Collect your Hire Car and Drive to Umhlanga Rocks Upon arrival in Durban you will be met by a Wayfairer representative. You will collect your hire car, detailed driving directions and a sat-nav, plus emergency contact numbers. You’ll then drive for one hour to your superb accommodation in Umhlanga Rocks on KwaZulu Natal’s North Coast. Overnight: Umhlanga Rocks Meals: (Breakfast/_/_)

Day 3: Umhlanga Rocks to Drakensberg After breakfast you’ll enjoy a scenic two and a half hour drive towards the Drakensberg Mountains. En route we highly recommend that you stop to see the spectacular Howick Falls on the Umgeni River. Your home for the next two nights is a charming lodge in the beautiful Kamberg Valley in the heart of the majestic Drankensberg Mountains. Day 5: Drakensberg to Spioenkop After a delicious breakfast you’ll continue your South African adventure with a short drive to Spioenkop. The lodge where you’ll stay for the next two nights is set against the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains, overlooking the infamous battlefield of Spioenkop. The lodge specialises in the history of the South African War (2nd Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902) with the Battle of Spioenkop being the focal point. It offers evocative and insightful battlefield tours where you’ll visit memorial sites and important strategic battle points with highly knowledgeable guides who bring this dramatic period of South African history to life. Day 7: Spioenkop to Nambiti Game Reserve This morning you can enjoy an early morning activity, such as a guided walk or horse riding, before a 2 hour drive to Nambiti Private Game Reserve, near Ladysmith, in the heart of the battlefields area (approximately three hours from and two and a half hours from Durban). A guide will meet you at the entrance of the reserve and you’ll transfer from your rental vehicle to the lodge's 4x4 Land Cruiser. This afternoon you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive with sundowners overlooking Amakhala's spectacular landscape, before returning to the lodge for a delicious dinner.  Overnight: Nambiti Game Reserve Meals: (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Day 10: International Return Flight Your South African adventure is coming to an end. After breakfast you’ll be transferred back to the entrance of the reserve where you’ll collect your vehicle.
