The name 'Serengeti' comes from the Maasai language and appropriately means an 'endless plains'. The National Park is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara Game reserve (in Kenya). It lies between the shores of Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the south, and the Great Rift Valley to the east. The Ngorongoro walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. It contains a river, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest and open plains. Lastly, Lake Manyara National Park, a safari paradise that provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife, More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day.

Day 01

Arusha | Serengeti

Day 01: Serengeti National Park You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha, and from there we drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, Your first game drive follows in the afternoon. Enjoy a morning game viewing in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade, the famous Serengeti National Park, home of the Great Migration. The game drive is spectacular as you drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim. Continuing on, spreading out is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means "endless plains" in Kiswahili and this 6,900 sq. mile (18,000 sq. km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson's gazelles, large predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax or monkeys also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at kilima Valley Tented Camp

Day 02

Serengeti

Day 02 Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Early morning, after breakfast we do game drive to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise. After the game drive followed by a transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th natural wonder of the world. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge Ngorongoro

Day 03

Arusha

Day 03 Ngorongoro Conservation Area Early morning, after breakfast we do game drive to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. It contains a river, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusk, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. Today you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. We do picnic Lunch and later evening we drive to Arusha town and transfer you the Lodge.
