Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi | Tsavo

DAY 1: DIANI-TSAVO EAST- Pick up from the hotel at around 6.00 am driving along Mombasa- Nairobi highway for 100 kms and a stopover for coffee. Proceed to Tsavo East (The largest park in Kenya which covers an area of 13,747 km2) and arrive at Bachuma Gate. Begin the game drive en route to Aruba Dam (A water hole where animals come to drink water). Physical attractions include Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau which is 300 km2, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Voi seasonal River and Aruba Dam. You have also a chance to see animals such as red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetah, and giraffes among others. Proceed with the game drive to Ashnil Aruba lodge where you will have lunch and relax till 3.00 pm after which you will depart for evening game drive till sundowner.Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Aruba lodge.

Day 2

DAY 2: SALTLICK Early breakfast then depart to Taita Hills wildlife sanctuary driving through a distance of 80 Kms. Arrive at Taita Hills lodge for check in at around 12.30hrs. After lunch drive back to Saltlick lodge where you will relax till 1530hrs. Evening game drive till sundowner then dinner and overnight at sarova saltlick lodge. Taita Hills wild life sanctuary covers an area of 24,000 Ha. Physical attractions include thorny bushes, acacia forests, arid and savannah, swamp and Taita hills among others. Animals found here include elephants, lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, different types of birds like (ostriches, horny bills, guinea fowls, king fishers, weaver birds etc).

Day 3

DAY 3: SALTLICK-DIANI Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Taita Hills. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by a game drive. Check out and proceed with an afternoon game drive out of the park. Drive back to your hotel/apartment arriving late in the evening.
