Itinerary

Day 1

Murchison Falls

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino & visit top of the falls Your safari guide picks you in the morning and you start the journey to Murchison Falls national park. Along the way we make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where rhinos are being reintroduced to Uganda. Here you make a trek to see the rhinos close up. You have lunch either along the way or when reaching the lodge depending on time. When arriving in Murchison Falls National Park you start off with a visit the top of the falls. This is a magnificent classic highlight on our 1st day as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice. Overnight: Amuka lodge

Day 2

Day 2: Game drive and boat-cruise on the Nile Take an early cup of tea/coffee at and then set off for a game-drive in the park. You have the chance of seeing Big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and then in the afternoon 3 hour boat ride to the base of the falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you)! Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them. After the boat-cruise we head to Budongo Forest to spend the night. Overnight: Paraa Lodge

Day 3

Day 3: Forest walk and transfer to Hoima Wake up to the sounds of the forest. After breakfast you go for an early walk in the kanio pabidi forest, Budongo forest. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch some forest species. Then transfer to Hoima for a relaxed afternoon at the hotel. Overnight: Hoima Cultural Lodge

Day 4

Kibale

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park After breakfast transfer to Kibale forest. It’s a long drive with our target to have lunch in Fort portal as the distance was cut yesterday the pressure and fatigue is lessened. A punctuation of stopovers at sceneries like the typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive ways offer us chances of stretching as we check in late afternoon. Overnight: Lodge Bella Vista

Day 5

Day 5: Bigodi wetlands & village walk in Lake Nkuruba area In the morning we head for Bigodi wetlands to discover the special nature in this part of Magombe swamp. During the walk that takes around 3 hours you might spot monkeys like the black & white colobus or vervet monkey and an abundance of birds with the Great blue turaco being a highlight. In the afternoon we go for a village walk in the beautiful area of Lake Nkuruba, learning about the Ugandan culture and life. Overnight: Lodge Bella Vista

Day 6

Kibale

Day 6: Chimps trekking in Kibale Forest & crater exploration Your guide picks you at the hotel in the early morning to head for the chimps trekking in Kibale Forest. Kibale forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. During your morning chimps trekking you will see them close and capture shots of our closest cousins in the Jungle in their frenzy exciting moods grooming! Besides the chimps 9 different species of Monkeys are found in this forest, for example red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies. In the forest canopy colored aviation creatures-butterflies and various bird species like the native Great blue Turaco, joyful greenbul, olive long tailed cuckoo and the superb black bee eater can be spotted. After the trek we have lunch and go for crater exploration. This area has beautiful crater lakes, offering stunning views. Overnight Chimpanzee view guest house

Day 7

Day 7: Transfer to Kampala After a relaxed breakfast we start the drive back to Kampala. Enjoy the views and country side passing by the windows as the journey takes us to back to Kampala in the afternoon. Bon Voyage!
