Itinerary
Day 1
Kilimanjaro
Day 1: Meet with Eastland adventures representative at Kilimanjaro international airport and drive to your hotel in Moshi for rest dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Kilimanjaro
Day 2: To Kilimanjaro national park: Today after breakfast you will have one hour drive to Marangu gate (1890m), do registration and hike for 16km round trip for 6-9 hours, You will enjoy your picnic lunch at Mandara hut ( 2227m) and walk for few minutes to Maundi Crater for Kilimanjaro, Kenyan and lake Chala view. In this day hike you will be able to explore two Kilimanjaro zones which is cultivation and rain forest, also you will see a lot of fauna and flora which dominate this park like black and white Colobus monkeys and blue monkeys.
Day 3
Day 3: To Kikuletwa hot springs: Today after breakfast we will drive for 2 hours heading to Rundugai hot springs on the way you will be able to see onions farms and once you arrive at the village you will visit the local people who are Maasai for traditional dances and local lunch. After lunch you will go to the hot springs for unlimited swimming before back to our car ready to drive back to your hotel in Moshi for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Kilimanjaro
Day 4: To Materuni Village: Today after breakfast you will have one hour drive to village located at the bottom of Kilimanjaro national park. You will be able to learn traditions and customs as well as how the local people who are Chagga grow and process the coffee for substance use, you will visit coffee farm pick coffee and make your own strong coffee locally. After this tour you will enjoy your picnic lunch and hike for 45 minutes to Materuni waterfalls which are about 80km higher to explore nature and swimming, this waterfalls is fresh water drainage from Mount Kilimanjaro, late evening you will back to your car and drive back to your hotel in Moshi for dinner and overnight.
