Itinerary
Day 1
We meet you at JRO airport and drive to your chosen hotel in Moshi, meet your guides for briefing gear checking and overnight.

Day 2
Kilimanjaro
After breakfast in the morning, you will drive approximately 2 to 3 hours from Moshi to the Londorosi gate where you will do registration and get an entry permit then you will drive again for 1 hour to Lemosho starting point where you will get off from the jeep and stop for picnic lunch. After lunch, you will meet all the crews including the rest of the guides, cooks, and porters, and your hike for about 2 to 3 hours to cover the distance of 4.3 miles to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 3

Today, it will be one of your beautiful hikes for about 6 to 7 hours including a lunch stop to cover distance of 4.3 miles and after 2 hours walk, you will be in the moorland zone on the west side of the Shira plateaus where you will be able to see old lava flows and you will enjoy the sun and walk slowly to get more breaks to acclimatize until you arrive at the camp for hot lunch and overnight rest.

Day 4

Today, you will hike for about 4 to 6 hours to cover the distance of 5.5 miles; you will also cross the middle of Shira plateau, a world heritage site as your picnic lunch at fishers point. After lunch, you will walk for 1 to 2 hours hiking through the moorland zone and arriving in the beautiful overnight camp located at the base of a massive lava flow

Day 5

Today we will be a short hike for distances of 3.1 miles/5km for 3 to 4 hours walking getting to alpine a desert then lava tower, a 492feet/150m high volcanic lava plug that juts out of the side of the mountain. We will arrive at lava tower for hot lunch and after lunch, we can rest for few hours before wake up earlier evening for acclimatization walk and back to our camp for early evening appetizing hot drinks and snacks before dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Today is a very short day about 2 to 3 hours to cover the distance of 1.8miles/3km we will climb to the the base of the route where we will camp near Arrow Glacier. Today we will spend mostly resting and conserving strength, but we will also do an afternoon hike partway along the final climbing ascent route thus will get us to high elevations for better acclimatization and give us a chance to familiarize ourselves with the beginning of the toughest hiking day of the whole climb.

Day 7

Today you will wake up early at 5 am for breakfast and hike for 7 hours to crater camp. The first part is covered with a lot of screeds or loose rock with the final part of the trail be steep rocky slopes which you will need to use your hands to navigate the sections and using rocks for hands hold. We will have an optional hike to explore the inner crater and ash pit, this is raised circular inner rim, the inside of which slopes down to a flat floor and then 656feet/200m deep.

Today we will have early breakfast and start our ascent to the summit early enough in the morning to be on the summit 19341 ft for sunrise. This final ascent to the summit is about 639feet but very tiring. The beginning part of the trail is very soft, loose, dusty screed and very few steep rocky scrambling to the top, followed by relatively flat terrain about 250 yards to Uhuru sign. After 10-15 minutes for picture and sunrise view, you descend to Mweka camp for overnight via Base camp

Day 9

Today after breakfast you will meet your Eastland adventures Kilimanjaro crew for group pictures and Kilimanjaro songs and afterward starting descending down for 3-4 hours to cover the distances of 10km/ 6 miles and we will back again to rain forest heading all the way to Mweka gate and you will sing out in National park logbook, our guide will collect certificate for those who made the successful summit and we will drive to your hotel in Moshi for a long shower and Kilimanjaro beer.
