Day 1

DAY 1 ARUSHA Meet at your arrival point and transfer to your lodge for pre-safari briefing. RIVERTREES COUNTRY INN (Dinner)

Day 2

Arusha

DAY 2 ARUSHA Depart after leisurely breakfast for Arusha National Park, home of the highest concentration of giraffe of any park in Africa. Situated near to Arusha town, and your lodge, it also homes Tanzania’s 2nd highest mountain, Mt Meru (4562m). We take a hike to waterfalls with a park ranger for a scenic picnic lunch before heading off for a game drive and the ‘secret’ crater of Ngurdoto. RIVERTREES COUNTRY INN (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3

Arusha | Ngorongoro Crater

DAY 3 ARUSHA-NGORONGORO After leaving Arusha behind we travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and our lodge set atop the Ngorongoro Crater rim. We enjoy a picnic lunch upon entering the Crater for a game viewing extravaganza. This ancient caldera is home to exotic residents, from the rhi-noceros to the crowned crane. Return to the lodge to enjoy a dramatic African sunset. NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4

Serengeti

DAY 4 NGORONGORO-SERENGETI After an early more hike on the crater rim, taking in the beauty of the Crater Highlands, we continue on to the treeless plains of the Serengeti. Our camp is mobile and migrates with the great season herds. The Serengeti eco-system and the abundance of wildlife is awe-inspiring. We take an afternoon game drive amongst the big cats before continuing to our private camp for overnight. NASIKIA MOBILE CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5

DAY 5 SERENGETI An early morning game drive is on the menu today after an early continental breakfast. After exploring the surrounding areas, we return for lunch and resting. In the afternoon, we continue to explore the surrounding prime wildlife areas before returning to our intimate camp for the evening. NASIKIA MOBILE CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6

Lake Manyara | Ngorongoro Crater | Serengeti

DAY 6 SERENGETI-LAKE MANYARA Departing the Serengeti we once again skirt the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area, dotted with Maasai warriors and their herds. We take a lunchbox enroute and enter the lake area for the late afternoon and in pursuit of the magnificent birdlife and herd animals that Lake Manyara has to offer. From a flash of pink flamingoes on the horizon to bull elephants at close range - this park showcases a superb variety of mammal life and birdlife alike. Continue to camp overlooking the soda lake of Manyara for overnight. MANYARA WILDLIFE SAFARI CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7

Arusha

DAY 7 LAKE MANYARA-ZANZIBAR An optional early morning hike in the area nearby the lodge can reveal the last of the noc-turnal animals returning home for the night, it is an exciting expedition and it entices an appetite for a hearty breakfast upon return. A quick transfer to Arusha before boarding our one hour flight to Zanzibar. Meet and transfer to our cosy accommodation in the sleepy bay of Chwaka. NGALAWA BEACH VILLAGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8

DAY 8 ZANZIBAR The south-eastern beaches of Zanzibar offer a quiet retreat from the hustle of Stone Town and other areas on Unguja. Ngalawa’s friendly staff can assist you in anything from scuba diving to lazing in the sun and relishing cocktails. The suites offer exquisite views of the sleepy Indian Ocean and its breezes or simply lounge by the pool. NGALAWA BEACH VILLAGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9

DAY 9 ZANZIBAR Continue your relaxation with a day by the pool, wander along the local beaches, explore nearby fishing villages or perch yourself upon on Ngalawa’s pontilla and watch the time pass by. NGALAWA BEACH VILLAGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10

DAY 10 ZANZIBAR-BEYOND Transfer to Stone Town after breakfast for a glimpse at the Omani inspired architecture while revelling in the sights and sounds. Explore the alleyways before continuing on to the airport for our flight to the mainland and beyond. (Breakfast)
