Once you touch down in Johannesburg the Wild Planet Safari guide will be there to greet you and then we will waste no time in getting to Kruger National Park.We should arrive later that afternoon and then the adventure starts.After check in we will go for our first gamedrive and so the fun starts.

Gamedrives will be conducted every morning and every afternoon with optional night drives available aswell as a optional bushwalk the morning of departure.

Itinerary

Day 1

Kruger

Day 1 Today your Safari Adventure begins! You will arrive at O.R. Tambo Int Airport, Johannesburg. We will be there to meet you and from here we go straight to Kruger National Park. On route we will stop for lunch and be at the gate in the early afternoon. We will take a slow game-drive to camp and check in for 2 nights. You will be staying in a Rondawell with 2 beds, en-suite bathroom, AC and a patio with table and chairs. The camp has a conprehensive shop, restaurant, laundry and swimming pool. Depending on the camp it will also have a waterhole for animals to come and drink or a fence-walk where you can walk around, spotting animals or just sit at a bench and enjoy the beautiful view. After check-in we will prepare dinner before you go on a Kruger night-drive. A Kruger ranger will take you out with a big spotlight looking for nocturnal life. Many of the cats are active at this time and you can see lions, leopards, cerval, civet in addition to hyena, porcupine, honey badger and much more.

Day 2

Kruger

Day 2 Today we will spend the whole day in the park. We take all we need including breakfast and lunch and we will enjoy picnic meals at designated spots in the park. Kruger National park is an amazing place where you will find all the animals you can think of in Africa. All the BIG 5 lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo are found in Kruger, which has more species of large mammals than any other African park. Giraffe, Zebras, Impala and Kudu are everywhere. There are huge crocodiles and hippos in the rivers and if we're lucky we hope to find the shy Cheetah. The park has 147 mammal species, 517 birds and 114 different reptiles, so there are lots to see in 2 days and you will have a fantastic time spotting all the wildlife. When we return to camp in the evening we will have a South African Braai. Cooking everything on a open fire and enjoy dinner outside in our set-up bush restaurant. Tonight we will go to sleep to the sound of roaring lions and laughing hyenas.

Day 3

Kruger

Day 3 This morning you have the option of going on a bush-walk with a Kruger ranger. An expert in the area will take you out looking for the animals on foot. You will learn about the bush, trees and animal-tracks. This is an excellent way to experience the bush. Alternatively we can do a 2 hour morning drive before we have breakfast in camp and check out. The drive back is about 5-6 hours and we will only be back in Johannesburg around 5 in the afternoon. If you have a night-flight out this evening, we will take you to Wild Planet Safari HQ so you can have a shower and freshen up before your flight. If your flight is the next morning, we are happy to assist you with booking accommodation and take you to the airport the following morning. Kruger National Park has 5 camps in the south and we will be staying at one of these for our 2 nights Safari. Which camp depends on availability, but they are all great camps, located in fantastic game areas.
