Day 2
Kilimanjaro
Day 2 - Mount Kilimanjaro There are two options today: 1. Enjoy a day acclimatizing with a hike in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, visiting Mnambe Waterfalls and the culture of the Chagga people who call these slopes home. Share their longstanding tradition of coffee-making and learn firsthand how it is processed locally. 2. Hike on the famous Mount Kilimanjaro, known as the rooftop of Africa. Take the Marangu Route through the cool and wet rainforest, where you can often spot Colobus monkeys, to the first camp. When you reach the camp, hike around to the Maundi Crater, enjoy your lunch, and then descend for your evening return to Moshi.
