This trip starts from the Kibale Forest National park, known as the best Chimpanzee tracking destination in the East African Region. The Bigodi wetland located in Magombe swamp is home to many wild animals and birds and is very closely located to the Kibale forest National Park. From Kibale forest, you journey toward the Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Rwenzori mountain range. The unique boat cruise on Kazing will leave you awestruck with wonderful opportunities for photography, wildlife and game viewing. You proceed to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for tree climbing lions. Next is Lake Mburo National Park which has many activities to offer. Finally, you make your way to Kampala with a stop at the equator to take any last pictures before saying goodbye to Uganda.

Day 1

Kibale

Day 1  Arrive in Entebbe - Kibale Forest National Park  On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be assisted through customs by a representative or alternatively, be picked up from your hotel in the morning. After a briefing session, you drive to Kibale Forest National park located near Fort Portal town. In the afternoon, you arrive in Kibale, have lunch and either take a community/guided forest walk in the evergreen forest or relax for the rest of the day. Do note that Kibale Forest is the best chimpanzee tracking destination in East Africa. Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

Day 2

Kibale

Day 2 Kibale Forest National Park; Trek & Safari After an early morning start, you will be briefed about the activity prior to entering the evergreen forest. Fresh forest air, entertainment from the birds, soaring monkeys, supervisory chimps and flying butterflies are wonderful food for the eyes and the mind that will leave everlasting memories. The guide will provide a detailed explanation on not only the primates but also all the forest's fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. You return to the lodge for a warm meal before an afternoon guided nature walk into the Bigodi wetland located in Magombe Swamp. The wetland is home to animals like the Red-tailed monkey, Vervet monkey, Black and white colobus monkey, Baboons, birds and butterflies. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 3

Kibale | Queen Elizabeth

Day 3 Kibale Forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park; Safari  After breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range for most of the journey. A game drive en route may include views of waterbucks, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas and antelopes. After lunch, enjoy a unique boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward, offering an excellent platform for photography, bird-watching and game viewing. Here, well over 600 recorded species having been spotted. Later, you return to the lodge.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 4

Queen Elizabeth

Day 4 Queen Elizabeth National Park; Safari  After an early morning start, embark on a morning game drive along the Kasenyi track and Queens’ mile, keeping an eye out for lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs, leopards, hyenas, mongooses, waterbucks, Ugandan Kobs and many small animals and birds. After the game drive, you return to the Lodge for lunch and an afternoon siesta. Afterward, you go for another game drive and return to the lodge later in the evening.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 5

Queen Elizabeth

Day 5  Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi; Safari  Early in the morning, you embark on a game drive along the Kasenyi track and Queens’ mile. Keep a watch out for lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs and various other animals. After the game drive, proceed to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree climbing lions. On arrival at the park, you have lunch. The rest of the afternoon can be spent visiting the local people or just relaxing at the lodge or camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 6

Bwindi Impenetrable

Day 6 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; Trek & Safari  After breakfast, you head out with a packed lunch, a walking stick and water. You drive to the park headquarters for a briefing. Then, you enter the gorilla sanctuary referred to as an 'impenetrable and spectacular rainforest'. It is densely landscaped and also crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that make it easy for trekkers as they search for gorillas. The thrill of spending time with, observing and photographing these gentle giants is a rare and moving adventure. After spending an hour with them, you return to the lodge or camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 7

Bwindi Impenetrable | Lake Mburo

Day 7 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Lake Mburo National Park  After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You arrive in time for lunch and then embark on a game drive. The game drive will take you along the lakeshore track, game trails and cleared walkways. Lake Mburo has a wider range of activities available to choose, from horseback safaris, night drives and walking safaris. However, after the gorilla trek you might just want to relax and enjoy the peace of this stunning park.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8

Lake Mburo

Day 8 Lake Mburo National Park - Kampala, Departure; Safari  You depart from Lake Mburo to Kampala, enjoying a game drive en route. You shall have a stop over at the equator to take some pictures and then leisurely continue with the rest of the journey. In Kampala, you have lunch. On reaching the airport, you will be assisted through customs in time for your flight back home. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
