Itinerary

Day 1

Kilimanjaro

DAY 1 - Karatu: Kilimanjaro airport – Karatu 3-4 h transfer Program: Pick up customers at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Karatu. If you have time we can stop and visit local markets on the road and Karatu village. Otherwise you can relax at the lodge. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Country Lodge or Tloma Lodge or Olea Africana Lodge.

Day 2

Serengeti

DAY 2 – Serengeti National Park: Transfer Karatu – Ngorongoro gate around 30 min Activities: game drive. Program: After breakfast we move into Serengeti National Park for a full day game viewing. First we have game drive en-route through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will enjoy the day exploring new areas in this huge park full of wildlife. Serengeti, over 6,000 square miles of sprawling, unspoiled landscape is quite a sight. Add to that an extraordinary population of resident and migratory animals in a constant bid for survival, and you understand why this is often called, "the world as it was in the beginning." Search for leopard and lion. Watch in awe as zebra, wildebeest and elephant simply appear from amidst the woodlands and plains. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp or Kisura Serengeti Camp.

Day 3

Serengeti

DAY 3 - Serengeti National Park Activities: game drive. Program: After breakfast we spend another full day in Serengeti. We can have picnic lunch or hot lunch at the lodge/tented camp. The park is full of wildlife all over the year and you can witness an actual kill in the flesh. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp or Kisura Serengeti Camp.

Day 4

Serengeti

DAY 4 - Serengeti Mara Activities: game drive. Program: After breakfast we move North to Mara region with packed lunch. From July to November the Great Migration congregates close to Mara and Grumeti rivers in North Serengeti. When it reaches the area the herd splits up and spreads out leaving wildebeest herds as far as the eye can see. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Kenzan Mara Serengeti Camp or Mbugani Migration Camp.

Day 5

Serengeti

DAY 5 – Serengeti Mara Activities: game drive. Program: After breakfast we spend the full day on game drive. We concentrate our attention on the Great Migration and predators. Picnic lunch is recommended so that we have more time for the game viewing. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Kenzan Mara Serengeti Camp or Mbugani Migration Camp.

Day 6

Serengeti

DAY 6 - Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Activities: game drive. Program: After breakfast full day game viewing. First we start our game drive in Serengeti, than later in the afternoon we drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing en-route. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge or Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.

Day 7

Arusha | Ngorongoro Crater

DAY 7 – Ngorongoro crater: Transfer Ngorongoro gate – Arusha 3 around 3 h Activities: game drive. Program: After early morning breakfast (or with breakfast boxes) descend down Ngorongoro crater for game viewing with packed lunch. The park is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called 'Africa's Eden' and the '8th Natural Wonder of the World,' a visit to the crater is a main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater's ridge, tall Masaai herd their cattle and goats over green pastures through the highland slopes, living alongside the wildlife as they have for centuries. In the early afternoon leave the crater, cross Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive back to Arusha where we arrive for dinner. Accommodation: Dinner and overnight at Planet Lodge or Green Hills of Africa Lodge (half board).

Day 8

Arusha | Kilimanjaro

DAY 8 - Arusha: transfer Arusha – Kilimanjaro airport 1 h Program: After breakfast shopping in town or relax in hotel (if you have time), then transfer to Kilimanjaro airport by private car.
