Pass the Equator and the cool central highlands and descend to the wildlife rich northern savannah woodlands. Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. Samburu National Reserve is one of the lesser-known national parks, but is nevertheless teeming with life. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five). Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Samburu Game Lodge

Day 04

Samburu

Day 04: Samburu – Solio After breakfast, depart from Samburu driving into the central highlands. You will arrive at the Rhino Watch camp in time for lunch and afternoon rest. You will venture out to the nearby Solio conservancy for an evening game drive. The park entrance to this wildlife and nature paradise is located only 5 minutes away from the Rhino Watch Safari Lodge, which is one of the reasons we consider the Solio Reserve one of our main attractions. In addition to the world's largest population of white rhinos and the near hundred black rhino, the Solio Reserve is inhabited by different other wildlife, such as buffalo, zebra, giraffe, oryx, antelope, Thompson's gazelle, impala, waterbuck and warthog. The park also offers some of the best leopard viewing in the country, and lion and cheetah can also be found. Our safari team is almost daily underway in the Solio Reserve and is constantly informed about the movements of the animals. Unforgettable game drives are guaranteed. Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Rhino watch Camp

Day 05

Day 05: Solio - Lake Naivasha After braek fast, you will meet up with your safari guide for the drive towards Laker Naivasha.   Lake Naivasha is home to a wide variety of wildlife including a sizeable population of hippos which usually invade our property during their nightly forays for food. Being a freshwater lake, it also has a healthy fish population to include Black bass, Tilapia and Crayfish which attract a variety of fish-eating birds such as Long-tailed and Great Cormorants, along with Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and various types of Kingfishers. Naivasha is also a good place to see the Grey-backed fiscal. This bird replaces the Long-tailed Fiscal in areas with higher rainfall. Also to be seen in the area is the Black-lored Babbler. The Naivasha race tends to show pale tipped feathers on their heads which gives their appearance a somewhat frosty or haloed effect, and it is believed that this variation may be the result of hybridization with Northern Pied Babblers at some point in the past. Arrive at your lodge in time for Lunch and an afternoon boat ride. Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Lake naivasha Country Club

Day 06

Masai Mara | Serengeti

Day 06: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara Early breakfast and depart your camp heading for the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will drive into Masai land passing through the Kedong and Suswa plains making a stop over at the Masai town of Narok. Continue towards the Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. This is probably one of Kenya’s most visited game reserve with an extra ordinary density of animals including the Big five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara Serengeti ecosystem giving life to the two game reserves finally pouring out into the Lake Victoria. Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya. This journey is coupled by numerous obstacles which makes it even more magnificent. Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Ashnil Mara Camp

Day 07

Masai Mara

Day 07: Masai Mara Depending on the wildlife migration patterns and the weather, you could either opt for Morning and evening game drives or alternatively venture out for a full day. Other optional activities on this day would be an early morning balloon safari over the Masai Mara plains or a visit to the nearby traditional Masai communities. Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Ashnil Mara Camp

Day 08

Masai Mara | Nairobi

Day 08: Masai Mara - Nairobi Breakfast and leave the Masai Mara. Enjoy extra game viewing in and out of the park as you drive through the Loita plains and the floor of the Great Rift Valley arriving in Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi early afternoon.
