Day 1

Arusha | Kilimanjaro

Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You’ll be met by one of our team and taken to your lodge in Arusha (about 45 minutes away), where you can enjoy a nice meal and get a good night’s sleep. Overnight in Arusha

Day 2

Serengeti

Day 2: After breakfast you’ll take a regional flight to northern Serengeti. Northern Serengeti is very different from the rest of the Serengeti. Most of people do not visit this area and the landscape stands out from the rest of the Serengeti. The north is hilly and has acacia woodlans. There are more elephants here than anywhere else in the Serengeti. It is possible to see up to 200 elephants in one spot. There are also resident prides of lions who like to sit on the kopjes at Lobo Valley and keep an eye on things. Overnight in Serengeti

Day 3

Serengeti

Day 3: Today we will explore northern Serengeti. This is an excellent opportunity to see elephants, buffalo, leopards, giraffes, cheetah, wildebeest, zebra, impalas, baboons, antelope and prides of lions. It is also possible to do night game driving to this area. Overnight at Serengeti

Day 4

Serengeti

Day 4: After breakfast we’ll do a two hour drive to central Serengeti. This drive has a lot to offer and the acacia woodland is home to many elephants, antelope, buffalo and lions. We’ll spend the day game driving. Overnight in central Serengeti

Day 5

Serengeti

Day 5: Today will be spent in the central Serengeti. We’ll be on the lookout for leopards, and this region is one of the best areas to spot the elusive animal. Overnight in central Serengeti

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

Day 6: After breakfast we’ll make our way towards Ngorongoro Crater. The drive takes us through open plains where animals such as the gazelle, ostrich and warthog can be found. We’ll arrive at the Crate in time for lunch. After lunch we’ll head into the Crater, where we’ll be on the lookout for the black rhino. Afternoon drives tend to me more conducive for spotting the rhino. We’ll end our evening on the rim of the Crater, enjoying sundowners and nibbles as the sunsets over Tanzania.

Day 7

Lake Manyara

Day 7: Today will be a very early start so we can head into the Crater right as the gates are opening. We’ll spend the morning in the Crater and will head out around lunchtime towards Lake Manyara. We’ll overnight at one of the lodges located on the border of the Ngorongoro Highlands. All of the lodges here offer excellent, locally grown food and people often opt to have a late start the following morning to enjoy the delicious breakfasts and tranquility.

Day 8

Lake Manyara | Tarangire

Day 8: After breakfast (early or late – up to you!) we’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park. Manyara has a large, diverse bird population and also has many large animals. Some animals we will see include: buffalo, elephants and giraffes. If we’re lucky, we might even spot the elusive tree-climbing lion. After lunch we’ll head to Tarangire National Park, where we can do some night drives. Overnight in Tarangire

Day 9

Tarangire

Day 9: We’ll spend the day exploring Tarangire National Park. We’ll drive along the rivers for some great photo opportunities, particular of buffalo, giraffe, elephants, wildebeest and zebra. Tarangire has the most elephants of all the national parks in northern Tanzania. If you are an elephant lover, this park is not to be missed!
