The route takes you through 3 of the most beautiful areas, from the drier game rich game regions of Linyanti, down to Chiefs Island which sits in the central region of the famous Moremi Game Reserve and finally onto the Jao concession. Zarafa and Mombo camps are synonymous with big game viewing with very strong predator activity in both areas, whilst Jao is the best and most beautiful area for water based activities and comes closest to a true Okavango Delta experience.

Itinerary

Day 1

Days 1 to 3 3 Nights at Zarafa Camp - Linyanti Upon you arrival in Maun you will take a charter flight to the Greater Linyanti and to camp. Zarafa Camp is owned by legendary film makers, the Jouberts, and the surrounding region has plaid host to many of their now world famous wildlife documentaries. Zarafa has only 4 large guest tents together with the Dow Suite thus ensuring low numbers and a very peaceful environment. Each tent has a separate lounge and open fire and the bath area contains a unique copper bath.

Day 4

Moremi

Days 4 to 6 3 Nights Mombo - Chiefs Isand - Moremi game Reserve Mombo Camp has to one of the most famous camps in Botswana, if not Africa. Situated on Chiefs Island, in the middle of the Moremi Game Reserve, the area is water-locked and provides a semi-captive environment for an astonishing array of game. The camp itself is beautifully maintained in a stunning situation and although it is of very high quality it still manages to feel like a "Bush Camp".

Day 7

Okavango Delta

Days 7 to 9 3 Nights Jao - Okavango Delta Jao Camp is situated on a palm fringed island in the Jao Concession on the south western side of the Okavango Delta. The camp is a water camp meaning that the activities are generally water based, on mekoro's or motor boats, although some game drives do occur. The camp itself is over 1km long and sits within a seemingly tropical environment, its styling is Balinese in effect and is quite different to other camps in Botswana. Jao Camp also houses one of the best health and beauty spas in the country.

Day 10
