Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 - Livingstone Upon arrival we welcome you at the Livingstone International Airport (LVI) and transfer you to the lodge where have the final preparations for the Pizi Safari. Pizi means zebra in the Lozi language. Accommodation in chalets. (D)

Day 2

Zambezi

Day 2 - Sioma / Ngonye Falls National Park We leave Livingstone after breakfast and drive along the mighty Zambezi River. Our next stopover are the Ngonye Falls at the Zambezi River. We will visit the Ngonye Falls and going to explore the surrounding ares. Camping (BLD)

Day 3

Day 3 - Mongu Mongu, the capital of Western Province, is overlooking the Barotse Floodplains. We are getting some fresh supplies and refuel for the next part of our Pizi Safari. Camping (BLD)

Day 4

Day 4 - 7 - Liuwa Plains National Park We drive across the Barotse Floodplains towards Kalabo. We register at the African Parks office and after crossing the Luanginga River we drive into Liuwa Plains National Park. The next days we are going to spend on game drives in search for the Wildebeest and Spotted Hyenas, African Buffalo and Lion were reintroduced into the Liuwa Plains National Park. Camping (BLD)

Day 8

Day 8 - Mongu We leave Liuwa Plain NP and head back to Mongu. Again it's time to restock and refuel. Camping (BLD)

Day 9

Kafue

Day 9 - 10 - Kafue National Park We head east to enter the Kafue NP again. We will explore the northern part of the Kafue NP. Camping (BLD)

Day 11

Day 11 - Lusaka Today we will reach Lusaka and will close our big circle around Western Zambia. We will finish our Pizi Safari here. Accommodation in chalets (BLD)

Day 12

Day 12 - Departure Transfer to the airport and flight back home or continue to your next destination. What is included? - all accommodation - all transfers and activities as per itinerary unless marked optional - all meals that are indicated (B - breakfast, L -lunch, D - dinner) and tea/coffees - services of a Guide / Driver / Chef - all National Park fees and activities included on itinerary and transport in 4wd safari vehicle What is not included? - Visa fees, tips, curios - Insurance to cover for cancellation and curtailment, medical, baggage and emergency evacuation - Personal expenses (soft drinks, alcohol, bottled water) - Sleeping bag can be hired @ USD25 This safari has set departure dates.
