Arusha to Tarangire

Tarangire

You will depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. The park is famous for large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffalo. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while exploring different areas along the Tarangire River. In the evening, you will exit the park and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Serengeti

After breakfast, you will depart Karatu and drive through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands towards Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes and Maasai villages before entering the vast Serengeti plains. You will have an afternoon game drive in the Seronera area, where you can spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras depending on the season. Dinner and overnight will be in a camp or lodge in Central Serengeti.

Serengeti

Today you will spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The central Serengeti is one of the best areas for predator sightings, including lions hunting on the plains and leopards resting in acacia trees. You will also see hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, and many bird species. The day is flexible depending on wildlife movement, ensuring the best possible safari experience. Overnight will again be in Serengeti.

After a morning game drive in Serengeti, you will slowly begin your journey towards the highlands of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You may stop at Olduvai Gorge for a short historical visit before continuing to the crater rim. On arrival, you will enjoy breathtaking sunset views over the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most famous natural wonders. Dinner and overnight will be at a lodge on the crater rim.

Ngorongoro Crater

Early in the morning, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to a high concentration of wildlife, including the rare black rhino, lions, elephants, buffalo, flamingos, and many other species living within the volcanic caldera. After a picnic lunch, you will ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
