Kigali City Tour – Volcanoes NP

Start your day with breakfast, followed by a guided Kigali city tour. Founded in 1907 and capital since 1962, Kigali reflects Rwanda’s rich history and resilience. Visit the Kandt Museum, explore old neighborhoods, craft centers, and the Genocide Memorial for insight into the 1994 tragedy and recovery. After lunch, drive 2.5 hours to Ruhengeri near Volcanoes National Park, arriving in the evening.

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to park HQ for registration and gorilla group allocation. After a briefing, drive to the trailhead and begin your trek, lasting 2–6 hours depending on gorilla movement, with time for rest and photos. After the encounter, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, drive 2.5 hours to Kigali through scenic hills, then transfer to the airport for departure.
