Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi

Bwindi Impenetrable

On the first day, our driver guide will pick you from the Airport, brief you about the trip and set off for Bwindi national park. You will have a stopover at Kayabwe to engage in the Equator experience, you will later proceed with the journey, another stopover will be in Mbarara for lunch and then roll southwards to connect to the amazing Bwindi. Arriving will be in the evening hours, connect to your lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa

You will wake up on a scrumptious breakfast as early as 6:30am, meet your driver guide at 7:00am and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. You will be assigned a gorilla family, you will be with a ranger guide to help you locate the gorilla family and after getting to the gorillas, you will have 1hour in their presence as you take pictures and videos, you will proceed to the hotel, freshen up and later, you will visit the Batwa in their community.

Day 3: Transfer to Akagera

You will arise on a lazy breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Akagera national park which is in the Northwest of Rwanda and it is about 6hours drive from Bwindi national park. you will have lunch en-route, connect to Akagera, arriving in the evening hours, check in, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise

On this day, you will arise in the early morning at 6am, grab a cup of coffee and head to the jungle to catch animals when they are still very active. Expect to be welcomed by herds of buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, leopards and lions, and guess what! You will have completed Africa’s big 5, you will encounter other animals for example giraffes, antelopes, birds, beautiful sceneries among others. Return to the lodge to have a hot lunch as you get ready for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema

Day 5: Visit Iby’iwacu and Nyungwe

On this day, you will wake up a lazy breakfast, check out of the lodge, head to the Iby’iwacu which is also known as the gorilla guardian village. This is where the poachers were gathered and taught about the importance of conserving nature. You will enjoy their way of life, dances, and head to Nyungwe forest national park a home to chimpanzees. You will arrive in the evening hours, head to your booked lodged, check in, and have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Chimpanzee and departure

You will kick the duvet at around 6am, go for breakfast, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing about the chimpanzee trekking. You will be assigned a ranger guide who will late you to the park to encounter the chimpanzees in their green canopies, you will spend 1hour as take pictures and videos and later head to Kigali which is Rwanda’s capital city.
