Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel by the Jossec Safaris team. After a short but important safari briefing, you drive north, watching the landscape slowly change from green highlands to the dry, rugged beauty of northern Kenya. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive. Samburu feels untouched and wild. you may spot the rare “Samburu Special Five” — Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.

After breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive before departing for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is famous for its rhino conservation. Here, you have excellent chances of seeing both black and white rhinos. The conservancy also hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, making it unique among safari destinations.

After breakfast, drive toward Lake Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch and later enjoy an afternoon game drive inside Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake is often surrounded by flamingos, and the park is a stronghold for white and black rhinos. Rothschild giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and sometimes tree-climbing lions can also be spotted here.

After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara. The drive takes you through scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and Maasai countryside. Arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head into the vast plains of the Masai Mara for your first game drive. The Mara is famous for big cats. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards roam these open savannahs, alongside massive herds of elephants and buffalo.

Today is a full day of exploration in the Masai Mara. With picnic lunch packed, you venture deep into the reserve searching for predators and following wildlife movement across the plains. Between July and October, this is where the Great Migration takes place — thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River in dramatic scenes of survival. Optional Experience: Hot air balloon safari at sunrise – USD 450 per person. followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
