Itinerary

Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet & greet. Transfer to hotel. Arusha City, located in the northern highlands of Tanzania, beneath the twin peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, is the safari capital of the country. Guests embarking on the popular northern safari circuit all stop here to prepare for their journeys into the African bush. Overnight at Forest Hill Hotel.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire

This morning drive from Arusha Tarangire National Parkwith picnic lunch. Tarangire is traversed by the Tarangire River, which never dries up. Being the only source of water during the dry season, it draws hundreds of animals to the park, making wildlife and bird viewing spectacular. The landscape is varied, with grassy savannah plains, swamps, hills and spectacular baobabs. Enjoy a full day in the park with game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater with picnic lunch. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as prides of lion that include the magnificient black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Drive back to Arusha and transfer to Forest Hill Hotel for dinner and overnight

Depart.

Breakfast at the lodge. Drive to Materuni Village, home of the Chagga people and still an authentic tribal village. Visit Materuni waterfall, which is around a 40-minute’s walk. On the way, your guide will inform you about the culture of the Chagga, village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro - don‘t forget your swimwear! Experience a traditional Chagga lunch. Drive back to JRO Airport.
