Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet & greet. Transfer to hotel. Arusha City, located in the northern highlands of Tanzania, beneath the twin peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, is the safari capital of the country. Guests embarking on the popular northern safari circuit all stop here to prepare for their journeys into the African bush. Overnight at Forest Hill Hotel.

Begin your adventure with an early morning departure to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest park. Renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. The Tarangire River, the park's lifeline, attracts diverse animals, including lions, giraffes, and vibrant bird species. Spend the day exploring this wildlife haven before going to your lodge for a restful evening, ready for the next leg of your journey.

On this day you can wake up early for a sunrise game drive to try and catch up with the rare nocturnal animal species as well as the early risers among the diurnal ones. It is a nice time to see animals within a close distance as most game like to line up at the road sides to escape the morning dew. After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Picnic lunch enroute. Time permitting (at no extra cost), visit Shanga Foundation, a social enterprise that employs people with disabilities to create unique and high-quality handcrafted wares incorporating recycled materials.
