Day 1 Drive To Kibale National Park

Kibale

After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park, the primate capital of East Africa. The journey passes through lush countryside and expansive tea plantations, with lunch en route. Kibale is one of Uganda’s most biologically diverse forests, home to over 120 mammal species, including chimpanzees, baboons, elephants, and antelopes. The park also hosts about 370 bird species, among them 23 Albertine Rift endemics such as Nahan’s francolin, Cassin’s spinetail & blue-headed bee-eater

Day 2: Chimp Trekk & Bigodi walk

Kibale

After breakfast, you will be assigned a chimpanzee group to track. You will then begin your guided walk into the forest in search of chimpanzees. Kibale is known as the primate capital of East Africa, and during the trek you may also encounter other primate species such as red-tailed monkeys & black-and-white colobus In the afternoon, after lunch, you will visit Bigodi Swamp for a guided nature walk, offering opportunities to spot diverse birdlife, including the great blue turaco.

Day 3 Drive to Q. Elizabeth Park

Queen Elizabeth

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch, you will enjoy a game drive in the park. This savannah ecosystem is home to about 95 mammal species, including Defassa waterbucks, lions, topis, hippos, leopards, bushbucks, side-striped jackals, warthogs among others. Its diverse ecosystems—ranging from open savannahs & humid forests these provide an ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees & over 600 bird species.

Day 4: Game Drive & Boat cruise

After an early breakfast, enjoy an extended game drive in search of wildlife & then after return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. After the cruise, drive back to the lodge with game viewing en route. Set against the dramatic Rwenzori Mountains, the park features stunning landscapes with vast crater-dotted hills, a view of Kazinga Channel lined with hippos, buffaloes & elephants & the open Ishasha plains & a view of tree-climbing lions

Day 5: Drive to Bwindi/ Ishasha

After breakfast, drive to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. After lunch, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to mountain gorillas, arriving at your lodge in the evening for a relaxed stay. Ishasha is fairly developed with few safari vehicles and abundant wildlife, including buffalo, Uganda kob, elephants, waterbuck, bushbuck, and topi. The highlight is spotting tree-climbing lions.

Day 6 Gorilla Trekking

Bwindi Impenetrable

In the morning after having breakfast, Head to the park headquarters for briefing about the park and about the gorilla tracking activity. Then you will embark on the most memorable journey in your life. The time for trekking can be as little as two hours or long as seven hours. Once you locate the gorilla family you will be allowed a maximum of one hour observing them.

Day 7: Drive to Lake Mburo NP

After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park located along the main highway connecting Kampala to western Uganda, Lake Mburo is a compact gem set on ancient Precambrian rocks over 500 million years old. The park hosts around 350 bird species and a variety of wildlife such as zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopards, hippos, hyenas, topi, and reedbuck. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive before retiring to your overnight accommodation.

Day 8 Morning Game drive

After Breakfast, head out to a morning game drive in the park. Return to the lodge for a full hearty breakfast. Check-out and start your journey out of the park, heading to Kampala, with a stopover at the Uganda Equator.
