Nairobi – Old Moses Camp
Mount Kenya
Depart Nairobi and journey to Nanyuki town, passing through the picturesque countryside on your way to the slopes of Mt. Kenya. You will arrive in time for an early lunch. Upon arrival, you will be introduced to the porters and the cook. Proceed to Sirimon Park Gate [2650m]. Begin your hike through the forest, which will eventually give way to heather. After approximately three hours of climbing, you will reach Old Moses Camp [3300m] where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Old Moses Camp – Shipton Camp

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, the day’s climb to Shimpton Camp with a packed lunch begins. The track leads uphill to a junction where a left turn is taken, followed by an hour of climbing, eventually crossing the Ontulili River. Continuing onwards, a right turn is made to contour the moorlands towards Liki North, eventually proceeding uphill to Mackinder’s Valley. The climb then progresses to Shipton Camp at 4200m, where dinner and overnight stay are provided.

An early start at 2:30am and a light breakfast. Depart and begin the ascent towards Point Lenana through a steep, stony quarry that cuts through a cliff, eventually arriving at Point Lenana by sunrise. Once at the summit, you can take in the breathtaking views, capture photos, and celebrate your accomplishment. Begin the descent to Shipton Camp [4200m] where a hearty breakfast awaits. Continue the descent to Old Moses [3300m], where you can rest, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Old Moses Camp – Nairobi
As you reach the final stretch, enjoy a delightful breakfast before descending through the lush rainforest to the Sirimon Park Gate at an elevation of 2650 meters, where you will complete the sign-out process. Afterward, you will transfer to Nanyuki town for a satisfying lunch and then proceed to travel back to Nairobi, with an estimated late afternoon arrival. Finally, upon reaching Nairobi, you will be dropped off at a hotel or the airport, marking the conclusion of your Mount Kenya climb.
