Safari summary

Explore the Pearl of Africa in 6 days! This tour features two national parks; Bwindi Impenetrable National park which hosts half of the remaining mountain gorillas and Queen Elizabeth National Park named after the Queen of England. Day 1 is arrival day and Day 2 is when you will start off your 6 hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make some stopovers for photography and some stretching. Day 3 will feature chimp tracking, boat cruise and a mini evening game drive. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Go for an early morning game drive the following day (Day 5) in search of your safari favorites before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Gorilla trekking will be done on Day 5 and then return to Kampala/Entebbe on Day 6 to catch your departure flight back home.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

After early breakfast, you will start off your 5 hour journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. After about 2 hours, make your first stop at the equator markings for the experience of standing with one foot in both hemispheres. Proceed to make another stopover for lunch en route. Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check in, at your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

In the morning, your guide takes you to Kyambura Gorge for a chimp tracking experience. Follow chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The forest is also home to a variety of monkeys and birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, go for the 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel to view hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birds by the shores. Later, you'll go for an evening game drive in Kasenyi, in search of your safari favorites. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Game drive and transfer to Bwindi

Set off for the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP after early breakfast. Ishasha is known for the famous tree-climbing lions. Other animals to find on the game drive include antelopes, buffaloes and elephants. On a lucky day, you might see some leopards. After the game drive, you'll continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the mountain gorillas. Your overnight stay will be at your booked accommodation. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Bwindi Impenetrable

After breakfast, transfer to Park headquarters for the pre trekking briefing. The trek starts at 8:30am and may last for 1-6 hours depending on gorilla movements. Once you find the gorillas, spend 1 hour to observe the gorillas while taking photos and audio recordings. Return to the lodge for lunch and optional but exciting activities including Batwa cultural experience, guided village walks or boat trip on L. Mutanda to visit the punishment Island. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Return to Entebbe and departure

After breakfast, you'll start the journey back to Kampala. You will make a stopover along the way for lunch in Mbarara or Masaka depending on the time. Proceed to Entebbe airport for catch your departure flight. End of Safari! When needed, accommodation after the trip or day use before your flight can be arranged at an extra cost.
