After breakfast, drive from Nairobi to Samburu National Park, passing Kenya’s tea and coffee plantations. On arrival at Samburu National Reserve, check in and have lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy game drives to spot diverse wildlife among hills and rivers. After dinner back at the lodge, relax overnight to nature’s sounds. Samburu is known for unique species like Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk—offering a safari experience beyond traditional destinations.

After breakfast, explore Samburu National Reserve, home to unique wildlife like oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and reticulated giraffe. Capture photos as you enjoy the landscape by the Ewaso Nyiro River. Return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest at midday. In the afternoon, head out for more game drives before returning in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu to Ol pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, depart Samburu for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, stopping at the equator marker en route. Arrive for lunch, rest briefly, then enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Serena Sweetwaters Tented Camp is ideally located in the conservancy. You can have optional night drives (extra cost), lion tracking, camel rides, and bush meals. Meeting the last northern white rhinos requires advance arrangement.

Full Day Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Today, you'll have morning and afternoon game drives in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private reserve overlooking Mount Kenya. Ol Pejeta is home to the Big Five, elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, and buffalo—as well as other wildlife. The conservancy features a sanctuary for rare and endangered species like the black rhino, Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, and chimpanzees. Its chimpanzee sanctuary—the only one in Kenya—rehabilitates orphaned and abused chimpanzees.

Depart Ol Pejeta after breakfast and drive to Aberdare National Park. Upon arrival, check in at Aberdare Country Club and have lunch. Afterward, drive to The Ark Safari Lodge. Here, you can watch wildlife from the comfort of your hotel. The Ark has four viewing areas to observe the constant animal activity at the waterhole and salt lick. There is also a ground-level hide, perfect for the discerning photographer. From this vantage point, you can take photos of animals at eye level.

After breakfast, transfer to Aberdare Country Club, where our guide will take you on game drives in Aberdare National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk in the 1, 300-acre Game Sanctuary, home to diverse wildlife and birds like Colobus and Vervet monkeys. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Depart Aberdare Country Club after breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge inside the park and arrive in time for lunch. After a short rest, continue with afternoon game drives. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its millions of flamingos that turn the lake pink, and is home to endangered rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, zebras, impalas, baboons, monkeys, waterbucks and more. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at Lake Nakuru, drive to Masai Mara National Reserve and arrive for lunch. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of the African bush.
