After registration at the Marangu Gate (1,870m), your trek begins through lush rainforest alive with bird calls and colobus monkeys. The path ascends steadily to Mandara Hut, where you’ll enjoy dinner and a peaceful night in shared wooden huts. Hiking time: 4–5 hours | Distance: 8 km

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700m)
