Day 1
Day 1: Cape Town "The Mother City" Upon arrival at Cape Town International airport, you will be met by an English speaking guide who will hand over vouchers and explain all the details of the tour. The Guide will also assist with the car hire. Group D, Toyota Corolla or similar with GPS. Drive to the Commodore Hotel. (approx. 20km) The Commodore Hotel is a four star hotel situated at the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town. Due to the central location of the hotel near the city centre and the V&A Waterfront, guests may spend a family holiday or a corporate business stay in close proximity to Cape Town's interesting sights and attractions. The interior of the hotel is characterized by a nautical theme, which is kept throughout the hotel complementing its proximity to the harbour in Cape Town and the Atlantic Ocean. The Clipper Restaurant serves fresh seafood as well as a fine cuisine which is characterized by a fusion of international dishes and local South African flavours. Light meals including soups, salads and sandwiches are served on the outdoor terrace, which invites guests to relax in a beautiful courtyard setting with the calming sound of running water from the fishpond. Day 2
Day 2 & 3: Cape Town "The Mother City" Guests have the next two days to discover all that the Mother City has to offer. Catch a cable car up Table Mountain. Do a self drive Peninsula tour. Join the City Sightseeing Bus. Shark cage diving at Gansbaai. Visit the Cape Malay District, Company Gardens, Cape of Good Hope, Signal Hill. The Robben Island and the District Six Museum are must-visits for anyone interested in South Africa's period of apartheid, which came to an end in 1990. Plan a visit to the African Penguin Colony at Boulder’s Beach. Visit the Two Oceans Aquarium or the fun-filled Ratanga Junction theme park. Day 4: Cape Town - Stellenbosch After Breakfast, guests depart for the magnificent Winelands. (approx. 50km) The drive from Cape Town to Stellenbosch takes you on a journey of the vines, an area rich in colourful culture, flavoursome food , and fascinating history . South Africa’s wine lands are known to produce some of the world's most outstanding wines The Majeka House is an owner-managed, private boutique hotel located within the historical town of Stellenbosch. The hotel is located in close proximity to a variety of shops, galleries, museums, vineyards and restaurants. Day 5: Stellenbosch - Hermanus After Breakfast, guests drive to Hermanus. (approx. 92km) The Harbour House Hotel in Hermanus enjoys the most prominent of positions in the heart of the old harbour area, flanked by the seaside and the bustling centre of the town. Internationally renowned for its fantastic land based whale watching during breeding season, shark cage diving with great whites and the natural beauty of the region are also attractions for the area. The hotel is centrally located a short distance from the centre of the village where a variety of upmarket restaurants, attractions and activities are all within walking distance, set in a cobbled piazza. Day 6
Day 6: Hermanus Guests have the full day to explore the history and whales of Hermanus. Every year Southern Right Whales migrate from their icy feeding grounds off Antarctica to warmer climates, reaching South Africa in June. The coastal waters teem with the giant animals, mating, calving and rearing their young - and giving whale-watchers spectacular displays of raw power and elegant water acrobatics. Close to the southernmost tip of Africa, 5 miles (8km) out to sea, lies Shark Alley - a favourite hunting ground of the omnipotent Great White Shark. Shark Alley is a channel between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock and is protected from the worst of the southern Atlantic’s weather. Day 7: Hermanus - Swellendam After breakfast at the hotel, guests drive to Swellendam. (approx. 253km) A representative of the Car rental company, will collect the vehicle today at 16h00 at the Marine Hotel. Providing magnificent views over the sandy Pollock Beach and the shimmering Algoa Bay, this hotel in Port Elizabeth is suitable for business travellers, leisure guests as well as families.
