This comprehensive, fly-in safari delivers an incredible journey across Tanzania's northern circuit, emphasizing efficient travel and high-quality game viewing in three spectacular parks: Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro.
The safari begins in Tarangire National Park, a lesser-known gem recognized for its unique, sprawling wilderness, large populations of elephants (the highest in East Africa), and iconic baobab trees. Tarangire uniquely features an immersive walking safari, led by an armed ranger, where you experience the bush through heightened senses smelling the buffalo, hearing the crack of twigs, and tracking signs of wildlife on foot. Game drives in this park are centered around the winding Tarangire River.

The tour then transitions via a light aircraft flight to the vast Serengeti National Park, the 'endless plains' famous worldwide for the Great Migration. Game drives are focused on the Central Seronera Area, a predator stronghold. Rising early, your guide will be ready to transfer you to Arusha Airport in time for the short flight to Tarangire National Park. After touching down you board your dedicated safari vehicle, you will commence a full-day game drive, exploring the distinctive landscape of Tarangire in search of its diverse wildlife. As the sun dips towards the horizon, you will arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and Overnight Stay.

You will be setting off on foot in the company of an armed ranger for an immersive walking safari. However, when on foot, you will truly start to appreciate the complexity of the ecosystem, as explained by your knowledgeable guide. After the walk, lunch is served back at your lodge. Then, as the afternoon begins to cool, you will head out on a game drive. Then, as the day comes to an end, return to your lodge for dinner and Overnight Stay.

Today, you will depart Tarangire after breakfast. We will fly from the park’s Kuro Airstrip, direct to Serengeti National Park. The climate in the Serengeti is pleasant year-round, thanks to the altitude. After touching down, you will board a safari vehicle and drive to the central Serengeti on a full-day game drive. After an exhilarating day, you will return to your lodge for dinner and Overnight Stay.

Today, we will once again set off in search of the migration and the non-stop drama it attracts, breaking the day with a packed picnic lunch. Serengeti’s most numerous large predators are spotted hyenas. Once maligned, these part-time scavengers are accomplished predators in their own right. Highly intelligent and social, they are the low-key rivals to lions for domination of the plains.

Spend two full days exploring the Serengeti’s wildlife-rich plains. Morning & afternoon game drives, returning to lodge for lunch, or Full-day game drive with picnic lunch. Visit Olduvai Gorge, the “Cradle of Mankind,” and learn about early human fossils discovered by Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey. Have Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari at sunrise (extra cost). Sit down to a farewell breakfast, afterwards, we will be transferred to the Seronera Airstrip. Today is a full-day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater. We will depart after breakfast, enjoying various wildlife sightings en route to the crater’s entrance gate. Here, the climate is temperate and mild, with two wet seasons, occurring in November-December and from March to May. Another highlight is Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake which attracts large flocks of flamingoes and is home to numerous honking hippos. After the game drive, you will be taken to your lodge for dinner and bed.

Ngorongoro Rim Walk – Arusha

After breakfast at your lodge, we will drive you up to the top of the Ngorongoro caldera for a scenic walk along the rim of the crater. The trail passes through some gorgeous habitats, most notably ancient forests that ring with birdsong. Later on in the day, we will return the Manyara Airstrip for your return flight to Arusha/Kilimanjaro International Airport.
