This is a very special tour that concentrates on the Serengeti, to follow the migration in a luxury style. You will spend at least 3 nights in the park, one in the Central Serengeti and two where the migration is happening. Depending on the time of the year and according to this itinerary, you will focus on the Ndutu area, which is located in the southern part of the Serengeti. It is where the wildebeests calve more than 500,000 newborns.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Tarangire

The park is named after the Tarangire River, which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In some places, the vegetation is dense with elephant grass and acacia woodlands. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. Tarangire is the best place to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat from the adorable calves all the way up to the intimidating bulls

Serengeti

After breakfast, you will drive to the far south of Serengeti, known as Ndutu. Lake Ndutu, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, is alkaline but drinkable and supports abundant wildlife. From December to April, the short-grass plains host most of the wildebeest migration, along with elephants, birds, and resident game. The region links Ngorongoro and Serengeti’s southern reaches. After lunch and game drives, you will head to your lodge for two nights.

After an early breakfast, you will depart Serengeti for a game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. Known as Africa’s eighth Wonder, the Crater has the highest density of wildlife on the continent and offers unforgettable sightings. It is one of the best places to spot the endangered black rhino, lions, and cape buffalo, alongside the rest of the Big Five. A packed lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site before driving to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Furaha Luxury Camp.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse gem. Framed by the dramatic Great Rift Escarpment, the park’s shallow salt lake expands and contracts with the seasons, drawing flamingos and over 500 bird species. Wildlife is abundant, from large troops of baboons and elephants in lush forests to the park’s legendary tree-climbing lions. Despite its small size, Manyara offers a truly unique safari experience filled with scenery and wildlife.
