Itinerary

Leave Nairobi after breakfast and proceed to Samburu. Heading north, you’ll pass near Thika and continue through some breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee. Arrive at the camp on time for check–in and lunch. In the late afternoon, depart for your first game drive, returning to the camp as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight are at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will venture out in search of the big cats of Samburu and other wild species before returning to the lodge for lunch. The rest of the day is spent at leisure and relaxing as you get ready for your evening game drive. Your afternoon game drive will commence, during which you will enjoy different species of flora and fauna while the sun is setting. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, travel south, crossing the equator to The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill. After lunch and high tea, set off for Naro moru River Lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet. You can request to be awakened at night if your favourite animals show up. A herd of elephants might be just feet away, and if you are lucky, a leopard or large male lion might appear. Dinner and overnight are at your Lodge.

After breakfast, there will be a morning pick-up as we drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with an en-route game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is known all over the world for its flamingos. The lake is alkaline and recognized as one of the natural wonders of the world. You’ll arrive at the flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, we will embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park, including visits to viewpoints.

Naivasha is yet another area popular for birdwatching (over 400 species). There are no crocodiles in the lake, as the water is too cold for them due to the altitude, but there are several hippos. An optional boat ride can be organized at an extra cost. You will also visit Crescent Island, which can be described as a garden, an animal sanctuary or simply a little paradise. If you enjoy photography, then you will be overwhelmed by the beauty that Crescent Island holds.
