Safari summary
The 5-day Marangu Route trek to Mount Kilimanjaro’s summit is a fast-paced journey through diverse ecosystems, from lush rainforest to alpine desert and icy summit. Known as the "Coca-Cola Route," it’s the only trail that offers hut accommodations, making it a more comfortable choice for climbers who prefer not to camp. This route is popular and scenic, offering views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks and a relatively direct path to the summit.
This 5-day itinerary is designed for adventurous and physically fit climbers seeking to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) in less time. While it doesn’t include an acclimatization day like the 6-day version, it’s achievable with determination and proper preparation. With expert guides, supportive mountain staff, and breathtaking terrain, this trek offers an unforgettable experience on the Roof of Africa
