Arusha to Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara
Your safari begins with morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha around 7:30 AM. After a short briefing, you'll drive about 2 hours to Lake Manyara National Park. This small but scenic park is known for its lush forest, birdlife, and tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive and have a picnic lunch inside the park. Look out for elephants, hippos, baboons, giraffes, and pink flamingos along the lake shore. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive to town of Karatu, where you’ll spend the night.

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll leave Karatu and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to Serengeti National Park. The drive takes several hours, but you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the highlands and may see wildlife along the way. Once inside the Serengeti, you’ll enjoy your first game drive across the endless plains, home to lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras. In late afternoon you'll have overnight in Serengeti National Park

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

Today you’ll wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, the best time to see animals when they are most active. You might spot predators returning from a night of hunting or see herds of wildebeest grazing as the sun comes up. After a few more hours exploring, you’ll begin the drive back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with stops for photos or a picnic lunch. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Karatu, where you’ll relax and enjoy dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater-Return to Arusha
After breakfast, you’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most famous wildlife areas in the world. You’ll descend into the crater and spend several hours on a game drive across the crater floor, which is home to rhinos, lions, zebras, hippos, buffalo, and many other animals. You’ll have a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, then drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon between 4:00–5:00 PM. The guide will drop you off at your hotel or a central point in Arusha.
