Safari summary
This 6-day private safari takes you to two of Tanzania’s wildest and most beautiful national parks: Nyerere National Park and Ruaha National Park. These parks are part of Southern Tanzania’s safari circuit, known for fewer crowds, rich wildlife, and raw natural beauty. Your journey begins in Dar es Salaam, where you’ll take a short flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly part of Selous Game Reserve). This park is famous for its river systems, boat safaris, and a wide variety of animals including elephants, giraffes, lions, crocodiles, hippos, and rare African wild dogs. From Nyerere, you’ll fly to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s second-largest park and one of the most remote. Ruaha is known for its huge elephant herds, big cats, baobab-covered landscapes, and large populations of buffalo, antelope, and birds. With a private vehicle, experienced guide, and comfortable lodges or tented camps, this safari is ideal for travelers who want to explore wild places and see a wide variety of wildlife in just under a week.
