ARRIVE IN MOSHI
Kilimanjaro
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport, you will be met and transferred 50km to the town of Moshi (journey time is approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic). This evening there will be a tour briefing before dinner

Cycling from Moshi to Marangu takes us to a picturesque village at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the gateway for climbers, Marangu is surrounded by fertile farmlands, lush rainforests, and scenic landscapes. It is home to the Chagga people, whose rich cultural heritage and close connection with the mountain make this ride both a natural and cultural experience.

Lake Challa, a serene crater lake on the Tanzania–Kenya border, offers the perfect escape just 55 km from Moshi. Cycling to Lake Challa Safari Camp, we pass through tranquil landscapes before reaching this hidden gem. Surrounded by untouched nature, the lake invites you to hike, swim in its crystal-clear waters, kayak across borders, or simply relax and enjoy the breathtaking views.

After breakfast we journey south to the Usambara Mountains, a region of great ecological importance. From the foothills, the route to Mtae village offers a challenging but rewarding climb—whether cycled, walked, or driven. At the top, panoramic views stretch across the Pare Mountains, Mkomazi National Park, and even Mount Kilimanjaro. Continuing along the ridge through charming villages, we reach Mambo View Point Eco-Lodge at 1,900 m, where the scenery is simply unforgettable.

Depart Mambo view to Usambara Mountains (Lushoto) and then proceed for hiking to Magamba Rainforest and Irente view point (Combined Tour, Lunch will be served at Nearby Irente Viewpoint.

Today we are already tackling our last bike stage. First, we drive about 15 km up until we arrive on a wide road. We follow this dirt road and enjoy the ride through the lush green vegetation. Beside us are many locals with simple bicycles or on the road

DAY 9: PANGANI
Pangani is an ancient town believed to date from before the 6th Century BC and was once a strategic point on the caravan route for exporting slaves and ivory. Now it is mainly a fishing and vacation town. You have all day to explore the town or visit Pangani Falls, a stunning waterfall which provides electricity to several major towns. Another option is to just relax on the beach for a well-earned rest after yesterday’s long ride

PANGANI - NUNGWI (ZANZIBAR)
An early boat transfer takes us to Nungwi at the north end of Zanzibar Island (also called Unguja). Zanzibar is known as the ‘Spice Island’ for its cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper. The boat trip takes about 2 hours. Nungwi is a vibrant fishing village loved by its many visitors. Our hotel overlooks the sea to the distant island of Tumbatu and its lighthouse. The beautiful white coral and seashell beach is the perfect place to watch an incredible sunset.

NUNGWI - ZANZIBAR TOWN (STONE TOWN
Zanzibar Island has long attracted traders and explorers, and we experience its charm by bike, concluding in historic Stone Town. Built from coral stone and once a hub of the spice and slave trades, Stone Town’s winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques, and grand Arabian houses remain much as they were 200 years ago. Riding local single-speed bikes, we immerse ourselves in the island’s culture before staying overnight in a traditional hotel.
