Samburu National Reserve

On your first day in Nairobi, you will meet your friendly tour guide. You will be picked up from your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a six-hour drive, you will get to Samburu National Reserve and get refreshments as you check in for some rest. You will check in and relax before having lunch. Your first game drive will be in the evening, having the chance to see the “Special Five”. In the far horizon when the sun sets, you will head back to camp for dinner and overnight.

With a desire to experience Samburu National Reserve to its fullest, you will start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. Throughout the game drive, you might spot some elephants, lions, different species of birds and antelopes. After the game drive, you will get back to your camp for lunch and relaxation, followed by some leisure time. You will later have another game drive in the afternoon and get a chance to explore the reserve’s stunning wildlife.

Have an amazing breakfast, then, in approximately three hours arrive and check in at Sweetwaters Serena Camp. Have lunch, then embark on a guided game drive where you might see most of the animals, like the lions, cheetahs, elephants and more. After the game drive, visit the enclosure of the last remaining two northern white rhinos. Later on, indulge yourselves in a night game drive where you might be able to spot the nocturnal animals. Return to camp for dinner and rest.

After breakfast, head to Nakuru Sopa Lodge located in Lake Nakuru National Park which is approximately a 3-hour drive. Check in, in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, head to the park, where you will spot rhinos roaming free, sightings of Rothschild giraffe, lions and giraffes among others. Before dusk, we return to our lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

You will drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve after having breakfast. You check in at Zebra Plains Mara Camp, where you will enjoy your lunch, before embarking on an afternoon game drive. During the drive, you might be able to see the majority of the animals, like the lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more. You get back to your camp when the sun starts setting on the horizon, and enjoy dinner around the campfire before retiring to bed for the night.

Waking up to the chirping birds, you take an early breakfast and set off for an exploration day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You begin your day with a peaceful game drive in the heart of Maasai Mara, where you might get the chance to sight the “Big Five”. After the game drive, you get back to camp for lunch and rest. You will later have another game drive in the afternoon. As dusk falls, you will head back to camp for dinner with an optional Maasai cultural dance or campfire.

You will check out after breakfast and head to Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge in Lake Naivasha. Refreshments will be served to you by a welcoming staff upon arrival. You will spend the afternoon on a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island for a guided nature walk, where you will get to see hippos in their natural habitat and a unique variety of bird species. You can choose to visit Crescent Island for a guided walk. Near dusk head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up to a warm breakfast, then head to Nairobi for a flight to Diani Beach via Ukunda Airstrip. You will catch your flight and arrive at Neptune Paradise Beach Resort, where you will check in after a warm welcome. You can then spend the rest of the day resting, basking in the sun, and enjoying the beautiful beaches. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

On your last day, take breakfast and enjoy yourselves in the morning hours , check out of the resort, get transferred to Ukunda airstrip and take a flight back to Nairobi. You will then be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your journey home. You can opt to enjoy the city if you have much time on your hands.
