Arrival in Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by an African Big Cats Safaris representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Your overnight stay will be at Gran Melia situated at the foothills of Mount Meru in the city of Arusha.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the river that runs through it, a vital water source for wildlife during the dry season. Known for its elephant families, the park offers a chance to see everything from playful calves to mighty bulls. Other animals include giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, along with predators like lions and leopards. After lunch and a game drive, we’ll head to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. Spot large baboon troops and diverse wildlife, including elephants, tree-climbing lions, flamingos, hippos, and over 400 bird species. The park, located between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley, offers stunning terrain and rich biodiversity. Enjoy a packed lunch at a picnic site. In the late afternoon, head to Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at Kitela Lodge.

Start your day with an early breakfast before we drive to the iconic Serengeti National Park, enjoying thrilling game viewing along the way. Unequalled globally, the Serengeti boasts the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa and is famed for the Great Wildebeest Migration. Witness its natural beauty and diverse wildlife. A packed lunch will be served at a scenic picnic site. Late in the afternoon, we'll continue our game drive, taking in the endless plains and stunning sunsets.

We'll return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and your final overnight stay before departing tomorrow morning.

After an early breakfast, drive from the Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive in one of Africa’s most famous wildlife areas. Known as an “eighth Wonder of the World,” the Crater hosts the highest density of animals on the continent, including all of the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and black rhinos. You’ll also see wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and over 500 bird species. A packed lunch is served at a picnic site.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your private safari guide from your lodge and drive back to Arusha for last minute shopping and re-packing and lunch. Transfer to the airport to catch your flight back home or a flight to Zanzibar.
