Itinerary

Nairobi - Thingira Village Visit-

After breakfast, we will head to Thingira Cultural Village on the Tana River, north of Nairobi. The tour includes a cultural experience, a village tour, a crocodile farm visit, traditional food, and dances. This provides insight into the history and culture of the local Bantu tribes, such as the Gikuyu, Aembu, and Akamba.Following lunch, we will travel to Kianjogu village at the base of Mt. Kenya in Karatina for a homestay with a local family.

Day 2 Full Day Farm Experience

Our day starts with breakfast and bird songs. We'll then go to the farm to learn tea picking and visit the buying center for tea sorting and purchasing. Next, we'll explore vegetable gardens to understand soil prep, planting, and cultivation, and how veggies are used in local cuisine. We'll also rake, sow, and water.Afternoon: visit Mau Mau caves to learn about freedom fighters. Evening is free; options include a local pub or helping cook at our host home, where we'll spend the night.
