Arrival and transfer to Gombe

Gombe Stream

Upon arrival you will be met by your representative and transfer to Gombe National Park (approximately 1-2 hours). You'll receive a rapid briefing from the park rangers about chimpanzee trekking rules and safety. Begin your first chimpanzee trekking session! Accompanied by experienced park rangers, you will head into the forest to track one of the habituated chimpanzee families. The duration of the trek varies (from 1 to 6 hours) depending on the chimps' location. dinner and overnight.

Gombe Stream

After an early breakfast, embark on your second chimpanzee trekking session. This provides another opportunity to observe the chimps, potentially a different family group, or to witness different behaviors as they go about their day. Each trek offers a unique experience. Bid farewell to Gombe and take your private speedboat transfer back to Kigoma.
