Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Serengeti
Start your journey with an early morning departure from Arusha. Drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands, passing rural villages and stunning landscapes. Enter Serengeti National Park in time for an afternoon game drive, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, lions, and early signs of the Migration. Overnight stay at a public campsite or budget tented lodge in the Serengeti.

Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, following the trail of the Great Migration (depending on the time of year). Your guide will help locate the herds and predators that follow them—such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards. Picnic lunch in the bush, followed by more wildlife viewing in the afternoon. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight under the stars.

Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a morning game drive as you exit Serengeti, possibly encountering more migrating animals en route. After lunch, continue through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with an optional stop at a traditional Maasai village. Arrive at a campsite near the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views and a cool evening climate.

Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino. Later, ascend the crater and drive to a lodge or campsite for your final overnight stay.

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Arusha, passing through beautiful Rift Valley landscapes and local communities. Optional cultural visits or shopping stops are available along the way. Arrive in Arusha by early afternoon.
