Your safari adventure begins as you depart from Maun and head into the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana’s most iconic wildlife areas. You will arrive at your mobile safari camp, set in a scenic location. The area is known for its tranquil beauty and excellent wildlife viewing, including leopard sightings, herds of antelope, and the wild dog. After a day of thrilling game drives, you’ll return to camp to enjoy dinner around the campfire beneath the star-filled African sky.

Today, you’ll venture further north to Xakanaxa, a lush region within the Moremi Game Reserve. The area is renowned for its beautiful floodplains and waterways, attracting large herds of elephants and red lechwe, as well as an abundance of vibrant birdlife. You’ll spend the day exploring this diverse habitat, enjoying game drives and observing the rich wildlife in this area. The evening will be spent back at your campsite, where you can relax around the fire and reflect on your day’s adventures.

Moremi Game Reserve
On this day, you’ll head to Bodumatau, a more remote area of the Moremi Game Reserve. It is well known for its open plains. The landscape is wild and beautiful, offering excellent opportunities for spotting these apex predators. After exploring Bodumatau, you will continue to Third Bridge, a region famous for its mix of wet and dry habitats. This area offers thrilling water crossings and opportunities to see large animals like buffalo, giraffes, and even the elusive sitatunga in the swamps.

Khwai Concession
After breakfast, you’ll leave Moremi and travel to Khwai Concession, a pristine wilderness area bordering the northeastern edge of Moremi. The concession is managed by the local community, ensuring an intimate and sustainable safari experience. You’ll settle into your mobile camp and enjoy a relaxed game drive in the area. The region is known for its dense populations of elephants, lions, and leopards. As night falls, you may have the chance to embark on a night drive to spot nocturnal animals.

After a morning game drive, you’ll take part in a mokoro excursion along the Khwai River. Your journey continues as you head north to Savuti, arid region within Chobe National Park. Famous for its dramatic landscapes, the area is a haven for elephants and predators. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your mobile campsite. This is a region where predator sightings are frequent, and you may spot lions, hyenas, and other carnivores roaming the plains. You’ll spend the afternoon on a game drive, exploring the diverse terrain and witnessing the raw beauty of this untamed land.

Today, you’ll spend a full day exploring Savuti, tracking lion prides, spotted hyenas, and observing the predator-prey dynamics that unfold in this wild region. The area is also home to large herds of elephants that gather around the remaining waterholes during the dry season, often leading to dramatic interactions between the bulls. In addition to the wildlife, the Savuti Channel, which flows and dries unpredictably, adds an extra layer of mystery and intrigue to the landscape.
