November to February is a major moving month, as migration herds head through Serengeti towards southern short plains grass. This is the best time to witness the Great Migration, where the first herds will be reaching central Serengeti around Seronera and more likely in the Ndutu Area, south of Serengeti.

Tarangire National Park is your destination for a full-day adventure filled with captivating wildlife species accompanied with large herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees that dot the landscape.
South Serengeti is a prime location where you can spot the Great Migration during this time. Herds of wildebeest and other antelopes migrate to the south Serengeti Ndutu plains for calving season in December.

Fly In to Serengeti via Seronera
Serengeti
Depart for a local flight from Arusha/Zanzibar to Serengeti. The park is home to over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs and some bird species. Upon your arrival our guide will pick you up at Seronera Airstrip and proceed with a game drive with a picnic lunch. You will likely witness the Great Migration with massive herds of wildebeest thundering around Seronera moving southwards with predators. Later you will drive towards your camp for an overnight stay.

On this day, you will have a full game drive in Ndutu, the southern part of Serengeti, searching for migration. Ndutu is the best location to witness the Great Migration during calving season. You will have a chance to sight millions of wildebeest moving towards Ndutu plains in search of greener pasture. At midday you will have your picnic lunch and then proceed with the afternoon game drive. Later, drive towards your camp.

Drive from South Serengeti to Ngoro
Depart early in the morning towards Ngorongoro Crater, which is known for incredible wildlife spotting and is one of the unique craters in the world. Today you will descend over 600 metres to the crater, allowing yourself to explore the site with an abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five, gazelles, zebras, endangered black rhinos, flamingos, ostriches, and hyenas. After lunch at Hippo Pool, ascend from the crater and drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Drive to Tarangire -Arusha
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, where you will have a high chance to sight and experience open grassland, rolling savannah, acacia trees, baobab trees and thousands of animals, such as large herds of elephants, buffalo, lions, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes and abundant bird species. Both migrants and residents are housed within the park. During midday you will have stop for lunch on your way to Arusha and then transferred to Airport for your departure to home
