Day 1
Queen Elizabeth
Day 1: To Queen Elizabeth National Park Leave Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning. Have a stopover at the Equator to take pictures and shop for souvenir. We will have lunch en route at Igongo culture Centre which also houses a museum for Ankore and Kigezi people. Meal Plan – Lunch and Dinner Overnight at Ihamba Safari Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 2
Day 2: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park – Transfer to Ishasha Start the day with an early morning game drive towards the mating ground of the Uganda Kob in the Kasenyi Plains in search of the Lions. We are likely to come across Warthogs, elephants and buffaloes. Return to the Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon take a cruise on Kazinga Channel- it connects Lake George and Lake Edward; likely sightings include Buffaloes and Elephants that come for an afternoon drink together with Hippos and Crocodiles that make it their home. There is also an amazing birdlife on the channel; likely to see African Fish Eagle. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Overnight at Ihamba Safari Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 3
Bwindi Impenetrable
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park On this day, we have an early breakfast and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National park for gorilla tracking, have lunch or picnic en route. We go through Ishasha sector of the Park in hope of seeing the famed tree climbing lions. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Overnight – Depending on group you are tracking/ Broadbill Forest Camp
Day 4
Day 4: Gorilla tracking The highlight of your safari will be meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! You will walk in the dense forest as you scan around for sight of gorilla family. When you finally encounter them, enjoy their presence as they eat, play and rest. This great experience takes anything from an hour (rarely) to about 6hours or more to accomplish. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Overnight depends on group you are tracking/ Broadbill Forest Camp
Day 5
Lake Mburo
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park After breakfast leave for Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy the beautiful scenery en route, have a stopover at Igongo Cultural Museum- a museum showcasing the native life of Ankore and Bakiga Cultures. Arrive in the park in time for a boat ride on Lake Mburo National Park Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Overnight at Arcadia Cottages or Mihingo Lodge
Day 6
Day 6: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe Take a morning game drive; we are likely to see Topi, Zebras, Uganda Kobs and Buffaloes. Have lunch en route Kampala with the memory of the great rare mountain apes. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for evening flight or to your hotel. Meal Plan – Breakfast & Lunch
