Arrival and Transfer to Kibale

Your adventure begins upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be met by your guide from Giant Holiday Safaris. After a brief introduction and orientation, you will start your journey towards Kibale Forest National Park, one of Uganda’s most renowned destinations for chimpanzee tracking.

The highlight is chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park, an exhilarating and educational experience that brings you up close to one of the world’s most intelligent creatures. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park’s visitor center, where you’ll meet your expert guide and fellow trekkers. The trek begins at the park’s entrance and takes you through the forest in search of the chimpanzee groups.

You will embark on a scenic road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the southwestern part of Uganda. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours. Bwindi is one of the most famous destinations in Uganda, primarily known for being the habitat of the endangered mountain gorillas. Evening at your lodge will provide a relaxing environment where you can unwind and prepare for the exciting adventure of gorilla trekking the next day.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing from your guide. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is a physically demanding activity, as you will be trekking through dense forest and steep terrain, but it is incredibly rewarding. Once you reach a group of habituated gorillas, you will have the opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat for one hour. Watching these gentle giants interact with each other, feed, and play is a humbling experience.

Transfer to Entebbe
On the final day of your 5-day Uganda Gorilla Trek & Chimps Tracking Trip, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast before starting your journey back to Entebbe International Airport. Depending on your departure time, the drive back to Entebbe will take approximately 8-9 hours, providing one last chance to take in Uganda’s natural beauty along the way.
