Arusha to Tarangire

Tarangire

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for the drive to Tarangire National Park, about two and a half hours on smooth roads. Known for its large elephant herds and the Tarangire River that sustains wildlife during the dry season, the park also hosts giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, lions, and leopards. It features ancient baobab trees and more breeding bird species than anywhere else in the world. After a picnic lunch in the park, you’ll continue to your accommodation in Karatu.

The migration is ongoing year-round, with the northern Serengeti being the focus during this time. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable seasonal tented camp.

Heritage Mara Camp

Northern Serengeti

Serengeti

This part of the Serengeti features a diverse landscape of hills, riverine forests, plains, and rocky outcrops, with the Mara River cutting through it. This river is the site of the dramatic river crossings, where over two million wildebeest, along with zebras and antelope, risk it all for fresh grazing and water. The crossing is made even more perilous by Nile crocodiles, while predators like lions, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs wait on the other side, eager for a meal.

Heritage Mara Camp

Northern to Central Serengeti

Serengeti

After breakfast, you'll leisurely head back to the Central Serengeti, enjoying an en route game drive. This is a great opportunity to continue your search for the migrating wildlife before leaving this extraordinary area. Each day in the Serengeti offers new surprises, with endless wonders to discover.

Serengeti Safari Haven Camp
